In May 2009 a major emanation from the Hunab-Ku, an unfathomably large intelligence in the center of the universe according to Mayan Cosmology, will inform a magnificent birth of cosmic proportions. This epoch period, the Mid-Point of the Sixth Day of the Galactic Underworld, gives humanity an unprecedented opportunity to cooperate with the forces of evolution to fulfill individual and collective purposes, and to create a sustainable world of harmony, abundance and balance with Nature. As with any birth, there is also death…death of that which is no longer supported by these new evolutionary energies. This article provides the background for this paradoxically auspicious and ominous moment, and what we can do personally and collectively to consciously participate in it.

At this time of year, with the emphasis on hearts and flowers and candles and romance, what, really, is love? Is it the heart-pounding, sweaty-palmed, butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling you get when in the presence of your beloved?

What do I mean by self-love? I simply mean loving and caring about yourself. After all, if you don’t, why should anyone else? And, if you don’t love and honor yourself first, how can you possibly have anything in the “love well” to share with others?

FEAR. It’s with us all the time. It dogs our steps, making life more confusing and less joyful than it needs to be. And as much as we try to fight our fears and give them over to the universe, they still seem to nip at our heels, distracting us from our true, heart-centered life.

The year 2012 has always been of special interest to many. Especially the date December 21st 2012, since this will be the day that the Mayan calendar comes to an end. This date is fast approaching and according to the Maya we will leave the world of the fourth sun and enter the world of the fifth sun. To many this ending of the Mayan calendar evokes a lot of questions as to what might happen in 2012. According to Mayan prophecies this date will mark a time for change, harmony and re-birth.
