DESIRE - how my heart is aching. DESIRE could be characterized as the original sin that we all carry within our genes. We desire more money, a better car, a bigger house, a more satisfying career, recognition, love, good relationships, a slimmer or more youthful body... The list goes on and on. Our whole life is based on fulfilling one desire or another.

Power Songs are oral prayers expressing your true self, your nature, your individuality, your power. All cultures have power songs but you can have your own power song too. We think of the power in a hymn or an African chant, a Shamanic ceremony song or even in the howling of wolf. And there is definite power in sound.

What’s on your mind today? Is it the mortgage payment, your child’s dental appointment, or the other 101 tasks that need to be accomplished before you can finally call it a day? Is your mind constantly barking orders at you — Do this! Do that! — until you want to tell it to shut the (bleep) up? Who’s running the show here, your mind or your heart?
