Richard Davidson of the University of Wisconsin in Madison has been studying the brain activity in Tibetan monks for several years. He and his colleagues at UW had shown in past research that people inclined to think negative thoughts show a pattern of persistent activity in regions of their right prefrontal cortex.

All of the negative horror stories come to mind such as disfigurement, loss of use of an organ or area or loss of life after hellish treatments and pain. With those horrific thoughts circulating in one’s mind, who would think of going to see a qualified aromatherapist?

It was morning and the Guide said: “Let us be where there is the most Light so that we can hear the deepest sounds at the same time” and he led them to the mountain top to watch the sunrise and to see the glorious colours. As they watched they heard within themselves mellow sounds for each beautiful colour in the rainbow hues - sounds were deep and reverberated through the valley.
