After seventeen years as a practitioner and teacher of Reiki, Sister Eileen has been astonished by the sheer number of people who have continued to stream through the door. People of all ages and traditions have come seeking their healing and finding it as Eileen did when she first embarked on this foreign road that soon became home to her. Eileen has come to recognize through her many years of practice that there is an inherent healing power within each of us and that the gift of Reiki is able to activate it.
Preserving the Edible Wild with MARTHA WEBBER

I recently had the privilege of being shown the Kanata Forest by Martha Webber, a master teacher about the Edible Wild. At 85 she stills move through the forest as agilely as someone forty year younger and with the fascination and absorption of a delighted child.
Everywhere there were edible plants to be discovered.
Martha has been teaching since the 1970’s.

THE ORIGINS OF REIKI - Mikao Usui, Sensei, the founder of Reiki, was born in 1865, near Kyoto, Japan. He married Sadako Suzuki (of Samurai lineage) and together they had two children. He was a very spiritual man who took his daily religious and meditation exercises very seriously.

Inspired through guidance from within, Sister Eileen Curteis continues her remarkable journey. Sister Eileen is a woman of the church. Although she is not in the habit of many other nuns, she is inspired by teachings both inside and outside the Catholic Faith.
