What Do Dr. O'Connor, Truehope & Strauss Herbs Have in Common ~ Heath Canada

Several years ago, the Strauss Herb Company and the founder and his family have documented the pathological harassment he and his family received complements of Health Canada, regarding his company's very safe, top quality, well-known and effective natural health products. 
Then Health Canada suffered several defeats in court (a miracle!) at the hands of the Strauss Company’s persistence and excellent defence.

Recently Truehope, manufacturer of an effective vitamin and mineral based formula for depression (unlike Prosaic and other similar drugs that are being protected and give rise to concern due to suicides and other documented mental damages and side effects) was also targeted with Health Canada's irrational, belligerent legal action. But certain unaccountable (surprise!) Health Canada bureaucrats would rather see suicides than successes with non-patentable, non-side-effects, natural top-notch vitamins in order to protect the profits of Big Pharma. The court cases both these companies have experienced, expose the intransigence of and the contempt Health Canada holds for us Canadians. The legal conundrums both these top-notch health supplement companies have experienced, demonstrate that Health Canada serves corporations of choice first, not Canadians for whom these bureaucracies were created and funded by.
The latest cynical actions of Health Canada, in case we need yet another example, regarding the health and safety of Canadians, is the fact their officials recently filed a complaint against Dr. John O'Connor with the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons for having alerted the media, last year, to what the doctor believed was a disproportionately high incidence of colon, liver and bile-duct cancers in patients who live in Fort Chipewyan who are being exposed to likely carcinogens in the pollutants from major petroleum refineries (such audacity!).
Imagine a physician, trained and licensed to practice medicine and, presumably also prevention, being attacked by a government agency for adhering to the Hippocratic Oath: "First do no harm!" Unless, of course, this  threatens profits for having to spend money to protect the environment and all those who live in it.
It is totally laughable that one’s corporate neighbour, who, for example, emits petrochemical pollutants to foul the air and water and threatens the health of an entire  population, is protected, rather than the health and intrinsic rights of its citizens. Obviously, in the case of Dr. O'Connor, he is not to rock the boat when it comes to the interests of corporate capitalism.
