The owls, the earth, sex, love and birth - Holographic Breathing

This article is about one of the journeys offered in holographic breathing. The journey is into the earth and creation. As well as its healing qualities this journey has been helpful for women giving birth and couples wanting to conceive. This is how this journey first unfolded. It was 2004, I had founded the holographic breathing system and had been investigating its principles and energies for about two years.
With this type of breathing, the breath is through the nose and there is a very particular movement of the mouth; on the in-breath, the jaw gently opens and on the out-breath, it gently closes. This movement is contained by the lips being closed and the tongue being on the roof of the
mouth.
These different motions complement each other. They also create a dynamic that is natural and encourages the face to gently open and close with the breath. In effect the face starts to breath. This is then reflected through the cranium and body. The different energies of the face are also reflected in the body, the earth and universe.
At this time I’d had a chest infection and had used this type of breathing to heal it. I also found I could use Holographic Breathing to go on journeys into the earth. I would travel down into the magma: the molten lava. This had a wonderful, warm, red energy and would heal through my body and chest.
One of the ways the face relates to the body and earth, is that the lower part of the face, the mouth, reflects the lower body. These are both reflected in outer layer of the earth: the earth's crust. They all have the same deep, dark energies and the qualities of strength, structure and movement.
The middle part of the face is mainly the maxilla, which houses the sinuses and nasal passageways. It reflects the middle part of the body, such as the chest, the heart and lungs. These are reflected in the middle layer of the earth: the magma, molten rock. They all have a warm red energy and the qualities of love, feelings, and emotions.
The upper part of the face, the eyes, reflect the upper part of the body: such as the neck, head and brain. These are reflected in the central part of the earth: a huge crystal. They all have a crystalline quality and relate to higher energies and light.
Using the breathing, I would drop down into the rock and minerals of the earths crust. It had a lovely cool, dark energy and was very healing. I could also feel that I was absorbing subtle energies and qualities from the minerals. Then I would drop down into the magma, this was good for the lungs and chest. I would stay there receiving the lovely, warm energy. As I dropped further, I would come to the surface of the giant crystal.  I didn’t drop into it, but could see it there, glistening away.
On this particular day I had been teaching holographic breathing, which had been very rewarding. There was a lovely energy moving through me, and on the way home to relax, I took a detour through some woods. It was night time, and as I came to the middle of the woods, I could see a large white object in my path. At first I thought it was a plastic bag, but as I came closer, I realised it was a barn owl. I was expecting it to fly away, but it stayed there in the headlights. I turned the lights off and we sat there, gazing at each other. After a while it flew up onto a branch near the driver’s window. I rolled the window down and the communication carried on. It felt wonderful. After a while the owl took off and went on its way. This was one of those moments you don’t easily forget.
The next day I was walking in the countryside and I ventured along a track. On each side there was a hedgerow about four to five feet high with long grass in the middle. I had not gone far when another barn owl, which had been hiding in the grass, took off from between my feet. It flew very slowly, down the track in front of me, not much faster than I was walking. Rather than flying over the hedgerow, it waited until there was a crossing into the fields, and took a left turn. When I came to the gap it had gone. This all felt very auspicious, not just the event, but also its timing. It was mid day and not the normal waking hours for an owl.
That night, still resonating with the owls, I was breathing and descending into the earth, which felt very different this time; the rock and minerals had taken on a soft and sexual quality. This was healing through my body and felt very nice. I slowly dropped further into the earth until the place it starts to melt and become magma. I descended into the molten rock: the earth’s heart. This also felt different; the magma now had a sensuous, and loving quality to it. As I descended, this communication became stronger and I had the realisation that this time, the earth was reflecting the sexual energies. The magma was reflecting the uterus. I was in the womb of the earth.
In holographic breathing, the genitalia are also a holographic representation of the whole and are reflected energetically in the other systems of the body. One of their main qualities is that of creation. The earth is female and on this journey she reflects the female genitalia. She also reflects the male genitalia, but on this particular journey she relates to it more as the opposite attraction. The vagina and penis are reflected in the earths crust. These are also reflected in to the lower part of the face: the mouth. They all have a deep, dark energy and relate to strength, structure and movement.
The uterus and prostate are reflected in the magma. These are also reflected the middle part of the face and the heart. They all have a warm red energy and relate to love, feelings and emotions.
The ovaries and testis are reflected in the giant crystal at the centre of the earth. These are also reflected in the upper face, the eyes. They all have a crystalline quality and relate to the higher energies and light.
As I breathed, and descended further into the magma, the earth’s womb, this very loving and sensuous sharing, continued. The energies were mixing and healing. It was powerful and lovely. I descended until below me I could see the surface of the crystal. It also looked different, the surface seemed soft, almost leathery and it had a very particular presence. As I came closer I had the realisation it was a giant ovum and represented the ovaries.
I slowly landed. My feet came to rest on the ovum. They stayed there for a bit and then went through; first up to my waist and then I dropped inside.
It was very different from being in the womb. The warm, sensuous energy had gone. The ovum was cooler and I was floating in fluid crystalline light, there were opaque colours, and the feeling of pure creation. I descended further into the ovum, letting this wonderful creative energy, heal through my body. I breathed and travelled; the different areas had different qualities, colours, and light. It looked beautiful and felt extraordinary. Breathing, I was coming closer to the centre of the ovum and the centre of the earth; gravity was balancing. This place had a stillness and a presence. There was a lovely meditative feeling and also there was something there. It was a sphere and not much bigger than myself. This had a translucent dark quality. I felt attracted as if we were opposite polarities. Curiously I moved around the sphere and then slowly towards it; my hands and feet landed on its surface. I stayed there for a while, as a synergy was happening. My feet and legs moved inside and then so did I. As I arrived inside the sphere, the earth broke away and disappeared. I was left floating in the centre of the universe. 
The earth is the mother. She is very female and at her centre is her opposite: the centre of the universe. I was floating in a dark, endless space. It felt like it was before creation and had a timeless quality. It was dark, but the dark also contained light.
It felt empty, but everything was created from here. It was also deeply nourishing. As I breathed, the experience became deeper. I let myself melt and let go.
After some time I started experiencing myself as a foetus, floating in space. I had moved out from the centre and stars were appearing all around; their light and energy resonating in me. I felt a part of creation and this great expanse.
I sensed it was time to come back. The stars and space disappeared and I arrived back in the womb of the earth, in the magma as a foetus, a small baby. I stayed there being nurtured and receiving love. I was slowly growing. Also, I was moving towards the earth's crust. The warm, red magma was becoming cooler, darker and more solid.
Breathing, I slowly moved into the earth’s crust, her vagina. It was very fluid, but had a denser quality, more physical. I was becoming more aware of my body, more defined, stronger. This was a different type of nurturing. I slowly moved towards the surface of the earth and on arrival was gently delivered into my room. I could feel the energies from the heavens and the love from the earth. I lay there in these energies, letting them mix and weave within me. I felt blessed. I felt like I had a new birth and the heavens and the earth were my guardians. All life is the meeting place of these energies. They come together in us and we are reflected in them. The next day the abundance of nature looked very alive.
The first three times I guided people on this journey, I was visited by owls. The first time I was driving and a barn owl came down to the road. The second time there was another barn owl, at the opposite side of a junction. It kept walking back and forth in front of the car and then flew off in the direction I was going. In the third session there was a window that opened close to a hawthorn bush. As I opened the window, I found myself looking into the eyes of a small owl. It was only about nine inches high, and fluttered into a near by tree.
Just recently I guided a friend on this journey. Afterward I went walking on a near by hill. It was dusk and there was a slight mist. Coming to the top, the hill plateaus to a gentle slope, a bird was flying towards me, silhouetted against the sky. At first I thought it was a sea gull but as it came closer, I realised it was an owl. I stood absolutely still; the owl came very close and then veered off. To my amazement it made a circuit around me. It was about twenty meters away. Every so often it would dive into the grass, hunting as it went. At the end of its circuit the owl flew towards me and directly over my head. It was almost touching my hat. I followed it up the hill and sat down as it went back and forth diving into the grass. Dusk turned to night and it flew off over the hill.

In awe, I drove home and sat in the car, listening to some lovely music and I watched the moon. I noticed in the field there was another owl flying up and down hunting in the grass. It really was the night for it. I was completely imbibed by the energy of the owl.
In Holographic Breathing, the in-breath relates to the heavens, the male energies and the day time.
The out-breath relates to the earth, the female energies and the night time.
Owls are the wisdom of the night and see what is hidden. So it was fortuitous that the owls came to help and guided me on this journey.
